Captain, we've had reports of a strong signal emanating from the surface of klumpok b. Time to investigate. Pulsating drone from various synth samples from my analog collection. Small amount of reverb and edited/multitracked looped in roxio sound editor.

A recording of a large (~30) group of people talking in a large, open room (brick walls and linoleum floors). During the recording, my sound recordist turned slowly, so the voices stay constant but move positions.

The sound of an untuned radio receiving static hiss/crackle whilst the tuner is moved. I generated this using reason's nn19 synthesiser for a tune i was building. I submitted this file to answer a request from wkndsuper. To save file space, i converted this to 22050/16/mono but i could supply in higher quality if requested.

This sound was created by mistake and i thought it sound perfectly like a bad transmission from radio or spacestation. I´ve cut the audiofile so it is loopable. This is the product of a late night with a new keyboard and a few drinks. Also a first time recording using audacity. All sounds in this piece are bone-stock sounds in the mx49. I only added a bit of mild reverb one sound in one section of the piece. I didn't set out to do something like this - it was only to check some sounds and get familiar with the software. I think of it as the 21st century version of the beatles "revolution 9". I suggest clearing your mind, getting "spiritually lubricated", put in the earbuds, and check it out.

I was putting together a new under-bed storage crate and noticed the wheels made this awesome sound, almost like a laser gun or something. Granted, you'll likely want to do some manipulation to get to sound how you like, but i liked the sound so much i figured you might, too. Recorded on a tascam dr-40 and edited in audacity. I was playing around trying to create a different sound when i accidentally created this sound which reminded me of a rocket flying by. I thought it might be useful and uploaded it. I kept it a bit longer so you can edit it into a loop or fade it out to make it seem the rocket flies away =). Made with fl studio with the free firebird vst plugin.

Ran my original sample thru rc20, tweaked some knobs, added eq for the lofi touch. I believe i used my personal rc20 preset to give it the crunch. I followed up with this resample using my lotus echo pad.

Whenever i use my usb stick, my computer always makes an awful noise. I decided to record it and see if any of you guys can make anything out of it. To me it sounds like some sort of aliens or robots talking to each other. The only editing done was noise removal to get rid of the fuzziness and amplification to make it a little bit louder. Broken transmission pads: c2 note, random gabbled modulated sounds using absynth 5. Sampled into ableton with a bit of effects, compression using psp compressor2 and psp warmer. I suppose you could say this is a bit science-fictiony. Kinda like background noise if you were alone in an abandoned space station or starship with the sound of machines and whatnot around you. And as an added bonus, it is a perfect loop. Recorded with a yescom pro studio condenser microphone using my own voice. Used audacity for editing.

Recorded on a stereo pair of akg c568 b microphones, into a sound devices 633 recorder. Trimmed in adobe audition with a gentle high pass filter, no other effects added.

I made this pad sound by starting with a traditional saw wave and mixing various effects together such as reverb and chorus. The wav file also has pre-defined loop points that can be used in samplers that support the functionality. I think i've made this out of a hg fortune synth but i can't remember which one and like usual, done in fl studio with quite some eqing applied to it too. Excuse the popping though, it's an artifact caused by the synth.

The soundscape is created by using behringers pro-1 and crave. I recorded into logic via a yamaha mixer and steinbergs ur22 mk1. In logic i destroyed the sound completely with a bunch of effects. Effects used: space delay, microphaser, a vocoder and of course my beloved bitcrusher. Did some equalizing too.

My first excursion into the ambient realm. My friends mimeophon, o-ctrl, morphagene, x-pan, erbe-verbe and the omnipresent clouds took me to somewhere i never thought i'd venture. Basically a very simple sound source, sped up and slowed down in segments, granulated and pasted back together. Quite a wet mix. Shake the drops off afterwards. . .

While trying to get my microphone to work, it was having this unusual feed back buzzing pulsing sounds. Along with a strange noise. (this wasn't my voice, and the file hasn't been edited. ).
